The fire started outside the building in the soon to be renovated bar, most likely an electrical malfunction sparked a fire at this recently opened bowling alley. The fire was noticed quickly and was acted upon before it could burn too much of the building. However, because of the material being burned and the excess smoke from the fire, the inside of the bowling alley was covered in soot. The owner contacted Cityline to help with the fire restoration.
There were two parts to this location. While cosmetically the burnt side of the building looked the worst, the inside of the bowling alley took the brunt of the damage. The soot covered the vast interior and because of the open food prep areas, the building needed extensive decontamination and restoration. While we had people working on the exterior deconstructing the outside bar, most of our crew was inside the building scrubbing the halls. We brought in super heavy-duty equipment from out of town to aid with the air scrubbing. It was important to not only remove the soot from the surfaces inside the alley, but from their air as well.
Most importantly, we methodically decontaminated all the food preparation areas in the building. While with any business we work with time is of the most importance, we also want to make sure the job we do is done right the first time.
