An explosion of unknown origin started a fire on back porch of this home in Macungie. Paramedics helped a woman and a dog escape from the house before the raging fire completely engulfed it in flames. The fire did spread too quickly to prevent firefighters from keeping the house from being completely destroyed. The intense fire did start to spread to the neighboring garage and trees, thankfully the fire crews prevented the fire from spreading further with their quick action.

After the fire, the home owners did not want to move back into the property. Cityline helped out the home owners by offering them a good price for the property so they could move to a location that was more ideal for their current life.
